Auricular acupuncture is a form of acupuncture in which the ear is seen as a “microcosm” of the whole body. Thus the entire body is mapped on the ear and can be treated using ear points only. There are over 200 points located just on the ear that help regulate the body’s internal functions. Small needles or ear seeds are used during this treatment. If ear seeds are used they do not penetrate the skin, the Vaccaria plant seed is most commonly used for this.

Although Auricular acupuncture is extremely old, its therapeutic usage was expanded in the 1950’s by neurologist Dr. Paul Nogier. The beginning of this Western research found that electrical frequencies on the surface of the ear could promote healing of the human body and stimulate the release of endorphins.  Deepening traditional studies by intertwining modern implementation potential, Dr. Nogier created modern protocols in treating addiction that are used in thousands of programs globally to this day.

This form of treatment is especially effective for treating:

Addiction

PTSD

Stress

OCD

Obesity

Muscular-skeletal pain

Detoxification

Mood Swings

Anxiety

Pediatrics
